Boys Basketball had an early holiday gift when they went down to Orlando, Florida and came away undefeated and champions of the KSA Pre-Holiday Classic.  Led by All-Tournament member Shane O’Neill and Jacob Lorentzen the Knights beat the likes of Montgomery Catholic, from Alabama, Kiski School, from Pennsylvania and Central Catholic, also form Pennsylvania.

The Knights rolled over Montgomery Catholic, beating them by 41 points with Caleb Pykkonen leading the way with 11 points.  The scoring was well shared as the Knights used their whole lineup in the route.

Fairview had a tougher time with its second opponent.  In a 64-61 victory over the Kiski Cougars, Lorentzen had 21 points and Brent Wrapp followed up with 14. In the end Fairview squeaked by with a three point victory.

In their last game against Central Catholic, Fairview had four players in double figures.  With Holden Killeen leading the way with 16, Lorentzen had 14, O’Neill had 13 and Brent Wrapp had 10.  In the end FHS prevailed winning by 5, 72-67.

After winning the tourney in Florida, the Knights returned home to face a scrappy Legacy team.  The boys traveled to Broomfield and came away with a 58-53 victory. O’Neill and Killeen led the scoring for the Knights with 19 and 14 points.

After a very successful Winter Break the Knights look to continue their winning ways as they face Mountain Range this Friday in The Dungeon.
