Boys Soccer Season Review: Raul Magno
Varsity boys soccer season came to an end on Wednesday after a tough 2-1 loss to Broomfield in the playoffs. There were many influential moments throughout the season and the playoffs.
“It’s hard to pick a favorite moment, every moment spent together as a team was amazing, we made so many memories,” said senior Raul Magno. “The guys were great and we accomplished so many different goals that at the beginning of the season didn’t seem possible.”
Now that the season is over looking to the future is complicated for senior athletes.
“As of now college is tricky, I am applying to colleges as if I’m not playing sports at all,” said Magno. “I’m looking to see if any offers come by later in the year since I am playing club and we will be travelling out of state to different showcases.”
Magno is in the middle of contemplating soccer in college, but also looking at the option of a career as a kicker since kicking for the Knights this season.
“I also have to think about football, which is starting to become another option, it’s very unclear where I’ll end up next year,” said Magno. “There might be a change to follow in college and kicking a football instead. I will have to give it time, which is exciting.”
The Knights finished the season with a 13-6 record and made it all the way to the semi finals.
