Early Action Deadline Approaches

By Caroline Kruger in Student News

Seniors applying for early action are scrambling around trying to finish up the application process. Early action, also known as priority application, is a way for seniors to find out earlier whether or not they are accepted into the college of their desire.

Early action in different than early decision because only one is set in stone. If one applies early decision, than if accepted to the school, he/she must withdraw any other applications and go to that college. Applying early action only means that one can find out earlier, around December.

For many schools, the early action deadline is November 1, therefore letter of recommendations from teachers and counselors are due on October 1, to allow one month for preparation.
