On Thursday November 13th, seniors Julia Box, Annika Lai and Ryan Madden signed to University of New York at Buffalo, Montana State Oklahoma University, respectively.
For seniors, applying to college is the most stressful job they have throughout the year. However, some find choosing the school they want to attend an easy decision.
“I decided to go [Oklahoma University] because I was just out on campus this past weekend and I really liked the school and the coaches, so it was an easy decision,” said Madden.
Box plans to attend University of New York at Buffalo in the fall to pursue her career in swimming.

“I can’t imagine myself not swimming. So I thought I would take myself to the next level,” said Box.
Box, who last year helped the Girls’ Swimming Team place 2nd at state, admits that if her college swimming career is successful she hopes to make trials for the Olympics.
“It would be nice to make trials, but who knows,” said Box.
Lai, who has been on the girls’ Varsity team all four years in high school, can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to play basketball at the collegiate level.
“I’ve known that I’ve wanted to play at the next level to continue my basketball career. It’s an amazing sport and I love playing it,” said Lai.
And Madden, who has been on Varsity sophomore, junior and senior year, knows playing baseball professionally is a difficult dream but hopes to get as far as he can.
“Hopefully, I could play past college, but I think it will be fun having a university to be an alumni of,” said Madden.
Box, Lai and Madden will never forget their experience at Fairview, but look forward to their future careers.
