Fairview Charges Through to the Elite 8

By Kim Brown in Sports

This fall Fairview’s football team has been undefeated, claiming the number one spot in state. Holding this accomplishment would potentially make this season one of the most successful in more than 5 years. Many students are looking forward to weekly games, especially this Friday’s game against Pomona at Recht field. “Of course, I’m excited to be in the playoffs,” said Nate Bayer, junior, “Winning is great, but I also really like the friendship of being on such a great team”. It is Bayer’s third year as a football player for the Knights. “I didn’t know much about the playoffs, but being undefeated and staying in has made me interested,” said Will Shanks, junior. The team hopes that there will be a large turnout at this week’s game and with so much student support, it is expected that there will be. “I am proud to be a Knight when I see our success every game,” said Greg Ritter, senior.*
