Girls basketball defeats Rocky Mountain; wins second game in a row

By Alec Pronk in Sports

Fairview beat Rocky Mountain with a commanding 57-39 performance at home.  The team improved their record 8-5 and 4-3 in the Front Range League.

The Knights have won back-to-back league games after a disappointing three point loss to rival Boulder.

Rocky Mountain was able to keep within five points at half, but Fairview came out strong in the second half.  Sarah Kaufman and Georgina Ryder led the team with 12 points apiece, and Hannah Hyde and Katie Kuosman added seven each.

Fairview has been shooting three pointers well as of late, and made five last night (Kaufman 2, Sonia Ghosh 2, Kuosman 1).

The Knights will next travel to Poudre on Tuesday to take on the 10-4 Impalas.
