Volleyball upset by the Legacy Lightning

By Alec Pronk in Sports

The Knights lost in three sets to a depleted Legacy team, who played only eight players.  All three sets were fairly close, but the Knights failed to close out a set en route to a 3-0 loss.

The loss came after a respectable start to league play, in which Fairview started with a 5-2 record.  An impressive win over Boulder and loss to league leader Rocky Mountain last week brought the Knights into Tuesday's game with hopes of improving their record in the league and climbing the standings. However, the Knights suffered a disappointing loss to a Lightning team who entered the game with a 6-8 record.

Fairview will look to re-establish themselves in the Front Range League when they host Rocky Mountain this Thursday.
