What to do if you're not going to homecoming

By Elise Maclean in Arts & Culture

Homecoming or no homecoming? That is the question. If all of your friends are talking about Homecoming, but perhaps you aren’t the type of person to enjoy school dances, then here are some ideas of what to do instead!

  1. Go bowling

This has always been a popular choice when choosing another activity other than homecoming. Bowling is active and fun, and brings some competition. Who wouldn’t want to put on those bowling shoes and slide around the slippery floor?

  1. Plan an Anti-homecoming

Homecoming isn’t all about the dance! Dress up, take pictures, and go out to dinner with your friends! Just because you don’t go to the dance doesn’t mean you have to skip out on the fancy night.

  1. Play a few games of Laser Tag

Who doesn’t enjoy laser tag?

4.Have a bake off

Eating food is a human favorite. Bake some desserts with your friends, and then have an eating fest. Won’t it feel good to eat food that you’ve made yourself? Whether it would or not, it’s still going to be yummy once you eat it.

  1. Have a TV series marathon Spend the night laughing with your friends while you watch How I Met Your Mother, or search Netflix and Comcast on Demand for funny, romantic, horror, or action movie.

  2. Go see a movie in the theaters

If you prefer theaters instead, then check out The House at the End of the Street in theaters and spend the night hiding behind your popcorn.

So even if you aren’t going to homecoming, it doesn’t mean you can’t have a good night. Plan something else so you have something to do that is just as fun!
